BuggEyes specializes in providing academic intervention, mentoring, and tutoring for students in grades 1 – 8 during the school day. We provide our instructors with academic and scenario-based training, professional development, and client feedback to ensure a successful partnership. We work with students in small groups, with a maximum student to instructor ratio of 6:1. We provide service in all subject areas, and focus on differentiated instruction based on the new Illinois learning standards. We also include content from the PARCC website to help prepare students for the tests. Our instructors collaborate with teachers throughout the entire program to help students achieve their goals.
We allot time during each session to mentor students on topics such as (but not limited to): respect, bullying, team-building, and leadership.
Our hours of operation for these services are Monday – Friday, 8AM – 11AM and 1PM – 5PM. We work to accommodate our partnering schools schedule.
In addition, we provide substitute teachers for daily, short-term, and long-term assignments for grades K – 12. All of our substitute teachers are ISBE licensed and/or certified teachers. Each of our teachers receive academic and scenario based training (with an emphasis on classroom management). Each of our team members must clear an FBI background check, physical and TB test, complete the online mandated reporter training, and are screened through various registries to ensure the safety of our clients and their students.
